Will the CarPET Scratch Stopper fit my door?
The CarPET Scratch Stopper is specifically contoured and shaped to fit the vast majority of U.S. standard 28”, 30”, 32″, 34″, and 36” doors. IMPORTANT: It is critical that you measure your door prior to ordering, see sizing guide image below and How To Order Correct Size Video.
What size should I order?
Can I close my door over it?
Yes, the CarPET Scratch Stopper was designed to allow doors to open and close normally while the product is in use.
Note: A minimum clearance of 1/8″ between the carpet and the door is required, which most homes typically have. In certain rare cases, the space between the carpet and the door may be insufficient. To be on the safe side, we advise that you measure prior to ordering.
What if I’m not satisfied with my CarPET Scratch Stopper purchase?
If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase for any reason, simply return it to us within 30 days for a full refund. We back our products with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. See our Return Policy for details.
Is it safe for my cats?
Yes
Will it damage my carpet?
No
How long does it take before it works?
The CarPET Scratch Stopper stops cats from scratching immediately.
What is it made of? Can I walk on it?
The CarPET Scratch Stopper is made of heavy-duty, quality plastic that is thick enough to walk on, yet thin enough to allow you to close your door over it.
How does it stay in place?
The bottom surface is equipped with grippers that help prevent it from moving.
Can I leave it on the carpet? Or do I have to pick it up all the time?
Some cat owners choose to use it on an as-needed basis, others keep it on their carpet continuously. It is simply a matter of individual preference.
What color is it?
The CarPET Scratch Stopper is colorless and semi-transparent.
Can it be used on any kind of floor?
The CarPET Scratch Stopper is intended to be used on carpeted flooring only. If you have carpet on one side of your door and different flooring on the other side (i.e. wood, linoleum or laminate) we suggest The CarPET Scratch Stopper Dual Flooring Instead.
Is the material the same as carpet runners?
NO! Carpet runners are typically made with thin and flimsy plastic. This causes the plastic to bend, crease and fold when stepped on and prevents it from laying flat, which can become a tripping hazard. It is also easier for cats to move thin, light-weight plastic, especially when it does not lay flat.
